Fireweed is known for being one of the first plants to grow after a wildfire, a symbol for strength and resilience. It represents the beauty and possibilities that can emerge after hardship within nature and mankind.
Just as dormant seeds with resilient roots grow from the ashes, many adults with intellectual disabilities and individuals who have aged out of the foster system, despite being dealt a challenging hand, go on to live productive, meaningful lives as valued members of our communities.
Fireweed Farm is committed to supporting growth, independence and belonging for those who call this community home.
